Upright Vs Recumbent Exercise Bike For Losing Weight?
which one is better upright or recumbent ive heard upright is better but is that much of a difference if i used a recumbent enough will i lose a good amount of weight just like upright

- I am a bigger fan of the upright because it requires more energy to hold yourself up. However, I think what matters most is intensity. If you can really push yourself on the recumbent, and you get a good workout, I think it is just fine.
- I kind of feel an upright gives the upper extremities a better workout.
- It's good to use both Upright & Recumbent bikes as they hit different parts of the body. Both bikes well burn calories and do the job, But if you have access to both at a gym I would rotate them. It's also has a lot more to do with comfort more than what bike burns more calories. I guess if you look at it really close the upright bikes force you at times to use a little more body weight as the way your positioned high and above your legs more.
