Recumbent Exercise Bicycles

Best shoes for stationary recumbent bikes?

Cross-Trainers or Running shoes, which would be the better choice? Right now I am using basketball shoes and my feet hurt in them.

  1. Yeah, I use cross trainers but really you can get casual bike shoes that are a bit more stiff. thats why your feet hurt. you need the force of the push to be distributed equally throughout your foot. So get a really really stiff shoe or your feet will always hurt.
  2. one time i was on a cross trainer, then i fell and sh*t my pants.
  3. best shoes? well, recumbent, so it's like laying down, and stationary, not moving, I'd guess..... SLIPPERS!!! With a bowl of chips and a TV... Put a small dorm-size fridge next to it for soda or beer... But if you're not actually using it as a lounge/wet bar... I guess I'd say cross-trainers, just for the ankle support.
  4. Here is a good choice:http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?category=600084&subcategory=60001261&brand=&sku=25006&storetype=&estoreid=&pagename=Shop%20by%20Subcat%3A%20Sandals%2FCasual%2FSport%20Shoes
